It’s indeed a good run tonight!  11.6km in 93mins!  Woohoo!!

Nokia SportsTracker

I finally broke the 10km mark!  I’ve been such a slacker and haven’t been pushing myself hard enough to do that considering the run is on 29th May… I signed up for half marathon for Adidas Sundown.

Having done that, it’s actually not that tough, if I maintain my usual snail speed.  What’s really challenging about tonight’s route is the ups-and-downs.  I’m used to running flat grounds, hardly do anything with slopes and steps.  But it’s all good, I need to train harder. :)

Thank you ShalomW for inviting me to join your running kakis!  I’ll tag along again next week!

I miss running in the evenings… Remind me of those days in Shaw Tower when we run in a group of 4 to 6 – LewB, Ssiew, @jo_the_dough, @gerrybin, @dymphomaniac, GaoR and the occasional guest trainees Amos and Hangman…

Indeed!  Rather than nursing a hangover, we got our asses out of the house and did something healthy instead.  We made plans last evening to go for a walk, LONG walk that kind, specifically the Southern Ridges Walk.

Yoda and I met at Seah Im Food Centre for a quick brekkie and started our little journey.

Our route tracked on Nokia SportsTracker

We made our way up towards the Henderson Waves from Morse Road up Mount Faber, which is not tracked on my GPS. So it was Mt Faber > Henderson Waves > Telok Blangah Hill Park > Alexandra Arch > Hort Park > Kent Ridge Park > Science Park I. We took in all about 2 hours in our moderate walking pace, and I had time to snap pictures along the way. :)  Photos are under cut.

Oh, I was working as I was walking…  Replied a couple of emails along the way…  Enabled by my trusty Nokia E75, my emails, camera, maps, GPS all rolled into one nifty device. LOVE!

This is my first race after 2 years, and my first at 10km.  Finishing was the aim, and I should say, not too shabby!
