I don’t think there’ll be many this year, cuz I only carry my BB and Nokia these days. Fond memories are best etched in my head and heart.

Thank you everyone for your wishes, I’m so very blessed. I’m blessed because I have all of you.

I’m hoping to have my next big bash at my own bachelorette’s pad. So save your ang pows for my wedding and divert them into my bachelorette’s pad fund please…

Thank you Daddy & Mommy, for all these years of up-bringing and love, I’ll probably be struggling in a whirlpool if not for all you’ve done for me.

And most definitely Thank YOU, my beloved Daddy God. Thank you for loving a flawed person like me, unconditionally. Thank you for your grace, everything that I don’t deserve, but you gave still. Thank YOU!

Everything Chinese! Yes! You heard it right.

I’m READING a Chinese book, LISTENING to Chinese songs, and SEARCHING for Chinese videos . Ha!

MissYappie found this book for me on her last biz trip to Hong Kong. This is not her album, but Sammi Cheng’s testimony of her journey to discover the Grace, that has helped her recover from depression without any medical consultation/aid.

I got the book in early May, I’ve barely read anything then, only flipped through the pictorial pages. Reading in Chinese is quite a challenge, especially when this book is written in Cantonese Traditional Chinese. It’s been good so far… I’m reading it slowly and learnt to get the meaning of words from context.

Amazing things are happening in the entertainment scene these days! I notice more and more Christian artistes out there, and use their talent to share the Love.

Anyone keen to borrow the book from me, let me know, I’m more than happy to pass it around Oh and her Cantonese Gospel album, Faith, too.

Thanks to BearyJean I had the opportunity of experiencing a Chinese praise & worship, not just any regular praise & worship, but an electrifying, inspiring, soul-filling one! Stream of Praise (赞美之泉), was here on their Asian Tour at Bethesda Cathedral.

It’s a truly refreshing experience! It was fun learning some keywords in Chinese, especially the Chinese for Jehovah, 耶和华, was initially a tongue-twister for me.

It’s the beginning of many more Chinese worship & praise to come, I’m beginning to appreciate Chinese songs.

My current favourites are 我们爱(让世界不一样) [We Will Love (We Will Make A Difference)] and 沙漠中的赞美 [Praise In The Desert].

Is not easy at all…
My nephew decided to pop ahead of time, and caught all of us off-guard! Sis checked-in at the hospital at 6am this morning, and by 8ish baby Mikel has arrived in a healthy 2.74kg bundle.

My BIL was accompanying my sis, mom’s already at work, so I was mobilised to babysit my niece this morning. Thank God for the flexible work arrangement!

What I did today…

10.45am: Picked Kaley up to send her to school 3 bus stops away from her place

11am – 1pm: Did some work at the void deck of the school while waiting for her

1.15pm: Lunch at TBP McD’s with my bro

2.15pm: Reached the hospital with the intention of visiting baby Mikel and sis, however prematurely shortened cuz Kaley doesn’t like hospitals. She wailed all the way till she threw up all that she ate at McD’s. Had to deal with all the stuff she threw up…

3pm: Got home and need to put her for a nap. She agreed to play only 5 games on Wii then sleep. Good.

3.45pm – 5.45pm: Napped with her

6pm: Prepare dinner while ensuring she’s not out of sight. Had to involve her in the preparation process so she doesn’t run around and disappear out of my sight

6.45pm: Fed her dinner and finished mine only after her

7pm: Took her out for a walk in the park

8pm: Went out to supermarket to do some grocery shopping (honey baked ham, sausage, cheese and bread + 2 pints of B&J ice-creams!)

9pm: Got home and fix her a little supper and brush teeth before bed

9.30pm – 12.30pm: Putting her to sleep… Her 1st time sleeping over our place… Thankfully she didn’t look for her mommy…

Finally some me-time now that she’s in bed… I trust that she’ll sleep through the night…

This is just a taste-test of full-time motherhood I guess… I’m just tending to her, no need for household chores and make sure my hubby is taken care of… Kudos to her, my mommy and all mothers! It’s tougher than most work anytime! At least you get lunch breaks and colleagues to chit chat with at work… At home, everything revolves around the child and the household…

Three (thousand) cheers to mommies!!

May saw the weddings of 2 very dear girlfriends, – Miss Purrfectz and Serenely; 2 weeks apart, respectively 15th and 30th.

Other than being May brides, here are some similarities between the 2 of them…

Both are equally dear to me; not just sistas, but also sisters-in-Christ

Both are not only wonderful friends, but generous to me in every way

Both have expensive taste; they own the same Chanel purse

Both have hidden talent; one paints and the other is achieved-sportsperson

Both weddings are planned within 6 months, from venue to gowns to photography

Both were moved to tears with their girlfriend’s speech

Both had really good wedding planners; both FOC

Both husbands are not the likely guys whom we thought they’ll date in the first place, more so marry

Both husbands are man of principles and man of habits

Both are capable wives who takes good care of their men and will be loving mothers

I started out this list with little in mind, but ended up a list of 10!

They are both over-achievers in their own way, yet they so generously share… I’m thankful for having known them, and they are blessings to me.

I’m looking forward to their firstborns, and it will be AWESOMEST if they share the same birthday! Like my 2 schoolmates, their second-born share the same birthday…

I LOVE YOU BABES!!

True that!! And this Bali trip is indeed a testimony of His grace and His love, my living God.

The day of departure for Bali was all in a frenzy. I was rushing the entire day to get things done before I leave, in the midst of trying to juggle making lunch for my sis and niece and going to the money-changer’s.

While preparing lunch, I almost chopped my middle finger and ring finger while ‘hacking’ the chicken wings with a chopper. Thank God for holding back my strength on that wield, otherwise I would be spending my holidays in the hospital… There were just 2 shallow cuts.

After sending my sis and niece off in a cab home from the mall, I went to draw cash to get change to Ruppiahs for my trip. Having to juggle my luggage, my hand-carry and laptop, I left the laptop on top of the ATM. And tra-la-la, I took the money and went to get them changed. Just before I head to catch a train to the airport, I realized, why are my hands so free? MY LAPTOP!!! I traced my route, went back to the ATM machine, not there, went to the money changer, not there. Reported to the mall’s information counter just in case.

I was circling the ATM area, bought a pack of fags and tried to calm down and think. I decided to call the bank for help, since it was left at their ATM outside the branch. The officer on the line at first said they couldn’t help, but I suggested that the branch could their ATM transaction records and CCTV to trace. I left it as that, we know the chances might be slim.

I prayed in the cab throughout the entire journey to the airport, and called the boss to inform him of the bad news. And onward to Bali…

We only arrived in our hotel in Kuta around 1ish, washed up and went out to party till 5ish and I only slept at 6am. I was woken up by my phone, 9.39am. ”Hello, this is Miss W. from the bank, we have located the customer who had taken your laptop. We matched the transaction records and found it on our CCTV.” It was an AWESOME wake-up call! They found it first thing in the morning! Credits to the staff at the branch!! I’m so thankful thankful thankful!!

It rained every afternoon we were there, the rain kept us in most afternoons. But we don’t complain, cuz we could just chill our very nice villa.

We decided to hire a driver to bring us to Ubud for the famous Babi Guling on the 3rd day. We headed out by noon and spent the whole afternoon in Ubud – lunch at Ibu Oka, coffee at Terazo, my companions visited the Monkey Temple, while I just walked around Ubud. Same thing, it rained again, was light rain so we managed to still get around. By evening, the driver took us to Jimbaran Bay for dinner. Yumz! On our way down, we realized it had rained heavier than it did in Ubud. I gave thanks in the backseat of the car.

He has help us managed our budget, kept us safe, made us rest when we needed to…

And it’s all well in his plans to keep the sun away the earlier days so that we don’t get burnt already on our first day. We finally caught a good tan on the last day before heading back home. I totally enjoyed the ride to the beach with Wendy, and the walk on the beach just indulging in the sounds of the crashing waves and sea breeze…

Thank you for watching over us, and loving us! Thank you for the luxury that I could afford this getaway with great company I had!

P/S: I collected my laptop from the police’s lost and found dept on Wednesday afternoon after a long journey there, it was all worth it… Lost and found, just like me.

“For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God. In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.” ~ Romans 6:9-11, NIV

God sent His son, they called Him, Jesus;
He came to love, heal and forgive;
He lived and died to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives!

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Because He lives, all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living,
Just because He lives!

I’m not referring to ‘moving house’ moving, but moving music from my favourite female singer Sammi Cheng! My all-time favourite female singer is using her music to reach out!

Now, enjoy the song, 上帝早已預備 (He Has Prepared).

I’ve taken the liberty and loosely translated the title, ‘He Has Prepared‘, cuz He is not GOING to prepare, but He has ALREADY prepared. In present future tense, He HAS.

I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did… It’s truly His Work, especially meaning on this Good Friday-Easter weekend. Thank You for Your love, for dying for me to make me whole.

I’ve added this song into my song list, click here for lyrics.

I’m thankful for Your superabounding grace and unconditional love. Accepting me as who I am. You cushion my every fall, soothe my every pain and heal me of any sickness. The Giver of my peace, the Provider of my needs and the Saviour of my life.

Thank you for this day. Thank you for your love.

27th March 2010, is indeed a very meaningful day.

Christianity is not about which church we go to, who our pastor is, what the church preaches, the tithes that we make towards the church. We all know this discussion can be never ending if it was so, and we tend to be defensive towards our own.

I’m reminded in the discussion with a friend that the fundamental of Christianity is our relationship with God, and He is the centre, not the differences of our church’s belief and teachings.

I chanced upon this while blog surfing and thought this was a most apt article that explains it all.

What If Jesus Meant All That Stuff? The title is a head-turner, very bold hor…

I can relate to the article personally, as I had been put off by some Christians before, and in fact was very anti towards the church and their believers. But by His Works, I’ve come to understand as I learn more.

It’s not about our differences, but all about our centre. We just need to align ourselves to Christ, and everything else will fall into their rightful places.
